Business Feng Shui offers techniques to direct more Qi energy and oxygen into a space and thereby improve air quality in offices and shops. Your vitality is strengthened and you can maintain and increase your performance. You feel more harmony at work. Stress is reduced, strengthening your intuition and improving your ability to make decisions. Your emotions are better balanced, meaning you are happier and gain a more positive outlook on life.
The flow of Qi in a space
The door of an office is like a person's mouth. 70–80% of cosmic energy and oxygen enter through it. The remaining 20–30% enter through the windows (so in windowless offices the Qi and oxygen levels are significantly lower). The flow of energy is the most important factor to consider in office design. In many modern offices and shops, door and window face each other in a direct line — the Qi quickly escapes through the door or glass walls instead of circulating through other parts of the office.
The size of the office
It is generally believed that it does not matter much where you sit in an office — what matters more is having a large office to make an impression. That the psychological and spiritual aspects are in fact far more important is rarely understood. The real, often decisive control depends on the seating position and how well you harmonise with that spot.

21st-century offices and business premises are best furnished with bright, gentle colours. They please the eye, promote relaxation, a more balanced mood and less fatigue, especially in the dark winter months.
